How Selfwin works: the AI employee for AI visibility
- What does Selfwin actually do every day?
- It runs every active prompt on ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity during a nightly window, records whether your brand and your competitors were mentioned and which sources were cited, and updates your dashboard and daily brief.
- Does Selfwin publish content automatically?
- No. It drafts pages, community replies, and outreach, queues them with a diagnosis of the prompt they target, and waits for your approval. Publishing is always your action.
- Which AI engines does Selfwin track?
- ChatGPT and Gemini through their web interfaces, and Perplexity through its API. Claude is available for delegating work over MCP, not as a tracked engine.
- How do I work with Selfwin day to day?
- Through a daily brief in Slack, the dashboard, or Claude over MCP, where you can ask about visibility, review drafts, and delegate the next action.
How to choose the prompts to track in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity
- How many prompts should I track for AI visibility?
- Start with twenty to twenty-five tracked prompts across five to seven topics. That is enough for a trend in two weeks without drowning in noise, and you can add more once you see which topics move.
- Should I track prompts that mention my brand?
- No. Prompts like 'is Acme good' are answered with your own website, so you win them by default. They inflate your visibility number and hide the category questions where you are absent.
- Should prompts name competitors?
- A few should. Comparison and alternative prompts show where buyers weigh you against others. Keep them under a fifth of the set so competitor names do not dominate what you measure.
- What is a long-tail prompt in AI search?
- A long-tail prompt adds constraints a real buyer has: a platform, a budget, a team size, an integration. Engines answer them with fewer brands, so they are the easiest to win and the most honest signal.
What AI visibility is, and how to measure it
- What is AI visibility?
- AI visibility is the share of relevant AI-assistant answers that mention or recommend your brand. It is tracked per prompt and per engine, the way search rankings are tracked per keyword.
- How is AI visibility different from SEO rankings?
- A search ranking is a position on a results page. An AI answer either includes you or it does not, and it may name several brands at once, so visibility is measured as a rate over many runs rather than a position.
- Which engines should a brand track?
- Start with the assistants your customers actually use: ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity cover most consumer and prosumer traffic today. Add others only once you can act on the data.
- How many prompts do you need before the numbers mean anything?
- Ten active prompts run daily gives a readable trend in about two weeks. Fewer prompts or fewer days mostly show noise, because answers vary run to run.
